From the single episode I could bring myself to watch, I thought Ncuti was really great (breath of fresh air even) and Millie was perfectly fine too. The show itself--the scripts, the direction--is unbearable if you're over the age of 10. What was always a family show, something both kids and parents and everyone in between could enjoy, is now exclusively a small children's show. That's a real shame.

There is one redeeming feature of the current Doctor Who: You do not have to watch it. And to me "Out of Time" from torchwood has the perfect quote for the current situation. Jodies viewing figures dropped below 4M once in her run (Legends of the Sea Devils - 3.47M) buy 6 out of Ncuti's 8 episodes were below 4M. jodies second worst episode was Eve of the Daleks at 4.4M, that beat every single episode of the series, only beaten by the stand alone intro. These are figures from 2022, not a decade ago and I don't think viewing habits have radically changed in 2 years.
